Representing students in doctoral and master’s programs at The Graduate Center of the City University of New York
DGSC Plenary Meetings are generally held on the third Friday of the month during the academic year, with some exceptions related to the proximity of those dates to breaks and holidays on the CUNY Graduate Center calendar. Unless announced otherwise, and in accordance with New York Open Meetings Law, meetings take place at 4:00 PM Eastern Time in Room 5414. All DGSC At-Large and Program Representatives are required to attend or notify their Alternate Representative to attend in their place. Zoom attendance is permitted (Zoom Registration Link: TBD), but representatives attending via Zoom will not be able to vote unless quorum is met through in-person attendees.
Information Concerning Attendance
In accordance with the DGSC Constitution, any representative who fails to attend two consecutive regular Plenary meetings without their designated alternate acting in their place shall be automatically recalled and reported at the next Plenary and Steering Committee meetings. This removal may be appealed to the Steering Committee, which may grant the appeal at its discretion by a simple majority vote at the next meeting of the Steering Committee. The outcome of the appeal shall be reported at the subsequent Plenary and Steering Committee meetings.
